Located at Enaex S.A.’s Prillex 1 chemical complex in Mejillones, VI Region of Chile, the plant was designed for a capacity of 925 metric tons of HNO3 per day (100% by weight) and produces nitric acid as an intermediate product for the complex’s ammonium nitrate plant. Designed to additionally reduce NOx emissions to the atmosphere by more than 90%, it avoids the emission of about 300,000 tCO2e each year.
