As part of its sustainability strategy and in its quest to be an enabler of a low Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions society, ABB has set itself the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

Thus, in Chile, ABB measured for the first time in 2023 the carbon footprint of its Head Office located in the Costanera Espacio Santiago Building and of its facilities (Drives Workshop) in the ENEA Business Park.

Additionally, and as a first milestone towards carbon neutrality in Chile, ABB neutralized the emissions of its facilities in ENEA for the period 2023, under the SCX CO2e Neutral Certification License. In the latter facilities, ABB has the capacity to test at full load the equipment of its installed customer base, thus guaranteeing its proper operation.

Finally, it should be noted that as of 2024, ABB Chile has been working on a work plan to reduce its carbon footprint based on ISO 50001 (energy efficiency).
