Located in the Madre de Dios region of Peru, the project covers more than 700,000 hectares of rainforest known as the biodiversity capital of Peru. Through Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD), the project contributes a reduction of more than 2,000,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent per year.

The project helps preserve biodiversity by protecting endangered species and conserving tropical forests.

In addition, the project has helped more than 400 families in the area, establishing initiatives that increase the value of the forest and contribute to their income from sustainable chestnut harvesting. Highlights include the construction of a processing plant, a nursery for the production of 100,000 seedlings per year for the reforestation of Brazil nut trees, and training in sustainable practices such as agroforestry.
